What began as a pile of scattered notes — my attempt to reconcile seven (?) different reference guides — has morphed into this blog and what I hope will become a collection of user-friendly resources.

A note on my approach: You might assume a systematic approach makes the most sense— major arcana, suits, then numerology. I agree and if I'd given it any forethought, that is probably the route I would have taken. But in the spirit of letting the cards guide, I prefer to pull at random and see where my research takes me. This is why we are beginning with Swords, Eights, and the VIII of Swords.
